It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Date. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading right now… who knows, you might discover that next “must read” book!
Our Kid Lit to YA version is hosted by Teach Mentor Texts and Unleashing Readers.
So I've spent the morning cutting bookmarks and other things for school since there's no time or help to do it there and I had nervous energy because I knew my dad was trying to get gas and the past four days that has become a major deal here in south/central TX. Like major deal. I lucked out Saturday morning with a 45 minute wait. He's currently going on eight hours. But not enough gas to drive all over town to different stations and many, many, many stations are out and waiting for deliveries and he works even further away from his house than I do. It's a logistics issue post Harvey, they tell us.
Houston and the coast have bigger worries. Hopefully no one will have bigger worries later next week due to Irma. And ... is it Montana that is having all the fires? So I'm trying to be stressed. But I am.
BOOKS! Not as many as I wanted to. :(
Force Friday brought me these. Only one was for reading, obviously, but it was so fun to get a backstory on our favorite little roly poly droid. He's a good little guy!
And I also downloaded Claudia Grey's Leia ... but I haven't read it yet. Once I finish Miles Morales I will get to it. Darn it and the E ARCs that I keep putting off. Once I get home from school I look at a few things on the computer and then I fall asleep. It's so silly. What would I do if I had kids?
Oh and I also read The Quest for Z by Greg Pizzoli. A picture book for the OLDER crowd but super cool art direction and a cool non-fic story.
Super excited that next week the audio to book five of Lockwood & Co (Jonathan Stroud) The Empty Grave will be out. I love that series! An alternate slightly spooky London with characters I've gotten to know over the course of the previous four books. Very much looking forward to more time with them.

I'm also excited about this new Lockwood and Co title!
