It's Monday! What are you Reading? is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. It is a great way to recap what you read and/or reviewed the previous week and to plan out your reading and reviews for the upcoming week. It's also a great chance to see what others are reading right now… who knows, you might discover that next “must read” book!
Our Kid Lit to YA version is hosted by Teach Mentor Texts.
GREAT IDEA! Check out all of the What Are You Reading? participants for title ideas.
Well. School's started. Love seeing the kids. Not so fond ... do you think it is possible to be allergic to a building? Rotten, rotten headaches. Stars in my eyes and upset stomach rotten. Bad last week during all the meetings. Worse in week two. #hopeitgoesaway
Whining done. Not a lot of reading completed this week but for what it's worth, here it is!
Durinda's Dangers by Lauren Baratz-Logsted
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Durinda's power is pretty ... powerful. Luckily the sisters are generally good natured (although the infighting does get a little tiresome) so they use it only to send the Wicket on a wild goose chase.
The Secret of the Fortune Wookiee by Tom Angleberger
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Funny, funny, funny, funny. Also ... GIRL POWER. Long live girls who like Star Wars.
Bloodline: A Sigma Force Novel by James Rollins
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
EEEEEEEK. I really don't feel all that well today (Dear Rotten Mold ... GO AWAY!) but I could not put this book down.
I hope we get to see Kane and Tucker again.
And I know there will be more to this story. There has to be.
I am a big chicken who could not watch any of the video clips referred to at the end of the book. What has not been watched is easier to forget.

Coming Up
The Hollow City by Dan Wells
I so need to finish this. I've been in the middle of it for like two weeks now. The main character is (possibly) schizophrenic so it's kind of hard to follow. I have a library copy and it is currently OVERDUE so I must finish it today.
Secret Letters by Leah Scheier
Netgalley copy. I hope it hasn't timed out because I have liked what I've read so far. Just ... dumb headaches. :/
Finish Marty McGuire Digs Worms and Capture the Flag in prep for our Kate Messner author visit in a month!
